Research
Our nonfiction collection has some resources that will be helpful for research, but much of what students need will be found online and/or in databases. Most of the databases available to students are provided by Great Prairie AEA. These databases all use the same username and password, which can be found in the library or in many classrooms throughout the school. You can also email our librarian if you can't remember or find the username and password.
To access these databases, go to your Classlink page (They are not linked here because you need a username and password to use them, and going through Classlink enters that information automatically). Some databases, such as Gale in Context Middle School and Britannica, are linked directly from there. You can find the entire list of databases available by going to Classlink then clicking on the GPAEA Snap Media Library link. As you scroll down the page, you will find links to many databases. Below are descriptions of the various databases to help guide you to the right place to look for information - databases that are especially helpful for most high school research projects are noted here in bold.
