Office Hours

The office at the Early Childhood Center will be open from 7:45-4:00 Monday through Friday when school is in session.

Guests/Secured Doors

All doors are secured during the day at the Early Childhood Center. For business that must be conducted on the premises, Oskaloosa’s Early Childhood Center uses the Raptor visitor management system as an additional layer of security for our students and staff. We ask that all visitors (parents, contractors, volunteers, etc.) use the main Early Childhood Center entrance.

Classroom visits afford one of the best means to gain information about the school’s educational program. Classroom visits are encouraged at nearly all times except for the beginning and ending weeks of school and any day preceding a vacation period. You do not need to make an appointment. But in order for your visit to be more informative, it is recommended you contact your child’s teacher to determine the day’s activities. Non-school age siblings may come as visitors only when accompanied by a parent and with permission from the Preschool Director. School-age student visitors from other districts or buildings are not allowed to visit during the school day due to potential disruptions in the learning environment.

As a guest in our building, here is what you can expect:

• Visitors must press the button on the exterior doors to buzz into the reception area.

• Upon being allowed through our exterior doors, ALL visitors will report directly to the office window and present a photo ID such as a driver's license or passport. 

• You will scan your ID into the visitor sign-in system. Once cleared, you will receive a printed badge with your photo on it. You will then be directed to the appropriate location.

• The visitors badge must be worn in a visible location the entire time you are in the building.

• While in the building, you are only approved to go to the specific locations requested. You are not to go to any other areas of the building without returning to the main office for approval.

• When you leave the building, please return to the main reception area to turn in your badge and check out.

School Day Schedule:
