Teacher Appreciation Week !


OHS Volleyball news for 8th graders: If you want to play high school volleyball in the fall of 2025, please attend the Spring meeting with Coach Goytia on May 8th at 7:30 a.m. in the 21st Century room (library) at the high school. Coach Goytia will review important information about registering for high school volleyball and accessing TeamReach. She will explain the program's summer expectations and will have information for summer league, camps, and open gyms as well. This is also a good time for you to meet the coach and ask any questions you might have about the summer calendar or the upcoming season. If you want to play, it's really important that you attend this meeting so you don't miss pertinent information. If for some reason you can't make it, please email coach Goytia ahead of time so she can get you the information that will be discussed at the meeting. 


OHS Football news for 8th graders: Coach Brett Doud will be holding a meeting on May 14th at 8 am at OMS for 8th graders interested in OHS football. Don't miss this important meeting!


Practices for ANY 6th, 7th, or 8th grader interested in being part of the OMS Color Guard (flags) that perform with the marching band have begun. No experience is necessary.  If you have any questions please contact me at raymondr@oskycsd.org. Future dates are: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:15 am till 8am until May 1st (including May 1st).

Summer Camp information is starting to come in! Be sure to check the district’s website for all kind of flyers for kids of all ages! See below:


*WPU Applied Technology Summer Camp will be June 16-19 from 8-noon. This is a 4 day hands on experience camp where students explore technology, solve problems and design solutions with guidance from WPU instructors. Activities include CAD, plastic injection, molding, woodworking and electronics - an exciting chance to create, innovate and have fun.  Registration is $150. RSVP by June 8. *Drivers Education information: This summer’s only session will begin May 29th and will cost $395 with Free and Reduced options available. There will be both online classroom instruction and driving sessions. All forms/payment will need to be returned to Beck Gatton at the high school (gattonb@oskycsd.org) Full payment must be received by May 22, to guarantee a seat! Questions can be directed to Mr. Rob Campbell at: campbellr@oskycsd.org Pick up a SALMON colored flyer today, that has more event and payment instructions. 

After School CLUBS info: Our adult-supervised and instructed classes will meet weekly. Here’s what we’re offering this school year:

Monday -  Art Club  3:30 - 4:30 PM 

Monday - Battle of the Books 3:30 - 4:30 PM

Monday - Ricochet Program 3:30 - 4:30

Tuesday - Game Club/Chess 3:30 - 4:30 PM 

Wednesday - Cooking Club  2:30 - 3:30 PM 

Thursday - Golf Club 3:30-4:30 PM 

Thursday - K-Pop/Dance Club 3:30 - 4:30 

Friday - NO Clubs on Friday’s

Lunch: Fresh baked whole grain biscuit with sausage gravy and scrambled eggs, hash brown patty OR cheeseburger or chicken sandwich with waffle fries

Other Daily items include: Pizza, taco Bar plus fresh fruits, vegetables and milk each day!

Tuesday - IReady math Testing in the am, we will run a 2 hr late bell schedule to accommodate this testing. (regular full day of school)

Tuesday - Student Council field trip 1:30 - 3:15

Wednesday -  2:30 bell schedule

Wednesday - OHS Baseball to Wrigley!

Thursday - 5th grade visits from OES this morning

Friday - MS Choir 7pm at GDA *parents, ask your choir student about the ‘friend’ choir event!

Friday- OHS Peer Helpers will visit OMS Advisory’s this morning

Friday - 6th grade Field Trip today 8:30 - 2:30

Coming Up: 

OMS Baseball practice begins May 19th after school and will run 3:45 - 5:15. The location will either be at OHS baseball field or at Lacey complex - depending on availability. Messages will be shared with team players and parents via TEAMREACH once the season has begun. 


Note this message from our district office: “The last day of school this year will be Wednesday, May 28, with a three-hour early dismissal for students.”

(OMS student release will be with our 12:30 bell schedule)
