On Tuesday, our community approved the voted Physical Plant & Equipment Levy (PPEL) for the Oskaloosa Schools. As a result, we will be able to continue investing these critical funds into infrastructure and equipment repairs, purchases, and improvements.
There will be no property tax increase resulting from this approved vote.
We are extremely grateful to our community for your support of the PPEL, our schools, and the students we serve. Thank you! 🙏

A big THANK YOU to Brooklyn Hayes, a compassionate member of our community, who has generously donated Grief Kits to each Osky building! 📚
Thanks to a grant provided by Mahaska CPPC (Community Partnerships for Protecting Children) in partnership with Mahaska KIND, Brooklyn created these Grief Kits as a valuable resource for our students and families, offering support during challenging times.
Each kit is thoughtfully designed, containing:
📖 Books specially written for children and teens to help them navigate grief
🖍️ Art supplies, coloring pages, and activities
🎨 Journal prompts to encourage self-expression
🧘♂️ Fidget items to help manage emotions
📋 Handouts for parents
🌈 Information about support groups
