Together, the classes laid to rest the tired, overused, and non-descriptive language that has plagued middle school essays for far too long. Outdated phrases and lazy modifiers were lowered into their final resting places as students vowed to honor their memory by using richer, more precise vocabulary instead.
If your student missed picture day or needs a retake, school photo retakes will be held on Thursday, October 15.
Please help your student come prepared and ready to smile! 😊📷

Students took an out-of-this-world field trip to Oskaloosa’s very own Solar System Walkway at Lacey Recreation Complex, where they walked from planet to planet to experience the scale of our sun and solar system firsthand. There’s nothing quite like interactive learning to make science come alive!
Positive Office Referrals are proof of our dedication to creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment. We appreciate these students for their exceptional behavior and for being role models in our school community.

Every single runner pushed through the slick hills and muddy straights with incredible grit, determination, and big smiles (even through the mud splatters!). We couldn't be prouder of the toughness and sportsmanship shown by our OMS team today.
A massive thank you to all the parents, coaches, teachers, and fans who came out to cheer, brave the damp weather, and help guide our runners along the course.
As a recent William Penn University graduate, he is thrilled to launch his education career right here in the welcoming Oskaloosa community and make this a standout first year with our students. Outside of the classroom, you can find Carson traveling, collecting historical artifacts, playing guitar, or kicking back with a good book.
