Student School Board Member Positions - Now Accepting Applications
Our school board has agreed to create two new “student board member” seats. Serving as a student board member would put you at the table to give input on all decisions, give students more voice in our leadership decisions, and make sure we have student representation in all we do.
In this non-voting member position, you attend all board meetings and events, serve as an ambassador for the board, and provide input so the board can make the wisest decisions. You’ll receive an amazing experience, leadership development, and a major point of pride on your resume.

Over the weekend, our students in Spain visited the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. They did a photo contest, but the results are pending. The group also toured the cities of Burgos and Segovia, which included stops at the Alcázar and the Burgos Cathedral. It was a weekend filled with unforgettable experiences and new insights into Spanish art and culture!

On Flag Day, we commemorate the day our nation’s flag, the Stars and Stripes, was officially adopted in 1777. It’s a symbol of freedom that unites us all! 🇺🇸

Our OHS students arrived in Madrid and kicked things off with a lunch! 🍽️ Then, we made our way to the Museo Nacional del Prado.
Dr. Timothy Foster recommended key artists and famous pieces for the students to find. On the list: Goya’s Black Paintings, Bosch’s The Garden of Earthly Delights, El Greco, and the New/Lost Caravaggio: Ecce Homo. 🎨🔍
Some of the students even had their first Spanish grocery store adventure! 🛒🇪🇸
