He spoke to the students about what his job encompassed, the available salaries for this kind of job, and the schooling it takes to get such a job. Milton also brought in various artifacts from his career that he acquired in the field to show the students. Thank you, Milton, for sharing your story with our students!

Today, a former student of Oskaloosa, Chris Fink, visited the OMS German class taught by Christopher Ellerston in order to convey to students his experiences at home and abroad. We are very grateful for Mr. Fink’s visit and appreciate him sharing his experiences with our students about the benefits of traveling abroad and knowing a second language.

Yesterday morning, members of the OMS staff reenacted the characters from the holiday hit "The 12 Days of Christmas" in front of the OMS student body. The students thoroughly enjoyed seeing staff put themselves out there for the event, and the staff had a great time putting on the show!

Yesterday, OMS staff engaged in a fun game called Peppermint in Your Pocket. Three random staff members were provided with a peppermint at the beginning of the day. As the day progressed, staff members had to ask other staff members if they had a peppermint in their pocket. If the staff member had the peppermint, they had to surrender it to the asking staff member. At the end of the day, whichever three staff members still had a peppermint in their pocket came to Principal Scholes for a prize. This was a funny activity that involved all staff members throughout the building, giving them an opportunity to socialize with one another. Our three winners were Laura Brummel, Stacie Drake, and Kiersten Sutton. Congratulations to them, and thanks to all for taking part in this fun event!
